Project Background
The Abkatun A2 platform will provide replacement and expansion capabilities to the existing Ku-Maloob-Zaap, Cantrell and Ayatsil facilities. Located in 124-ft water depth in the Bay of Campeche, the platform will handle up to 220,000 BOPD and 150MMcf/D of natural gas from Pemex's shallow-water oil fields. The platform was recently turned over to Pemex for startup and commercial operations.
Scope of supply
Mantis Piping proactively addressed a technical challenge related to a NACE requirement. We accepted the challenge and consulted with NACE board members to determine technical differences between NACE specifications. We then offered our client a solution that was acceptable to all parties.

Outcome
Mantis Piping supplied pipe, fittings and flanges for the Abkatun A2 platform. Multiple shipments and in accordance with Pemex material specifications. Mantis Piping managed over 50 change orders plus supply to subcontractors for critical equipment packages.
